    Smashing Magazine books are a great read, fantastic reference tools and they are exactly what is needed every time when I am at work (graphic designer and web developer for an ecomm dev company).

    For design in Photoshop, creating design on the pixel (avoiding half-pixel) is a requirement for being able to skin new sites and Mastering Photoshop for Web Designers, covers everything to make you think like a dev and not cramping your design creativity.

    Get this book and your dev will love you for it.
